New residents in Houghton

All the work by the young people and Helen in St Andrew's Churchyard resulted in a well deserved Wildlife Friendly Award which will be awarded soon. Well one!
Things have been happening in Houghton, as Helen Heathfield writes

'In the bug hotel, families of woodlice have moved in, lots of snails in amongst the bricks and evidence of spiders.

You'll see the red poppies have been out and in the October church yard tidy up we'll be prepping the beds for a better display next year and years to come.'
