Las Posadas - The day before Advent Sunday

 Mary, Joseph and a donkey have been brought ashore by the RNLI. It is believed that they are making their way to the Winterborne Valley.

Could this strange package that arrived on the steps of St Nicholas Church, Winterborne Clenston, be  a clue to their location?

Unfortunately, everyone was rather occupied with the baptism of Tabitha so the box remained unopened and was placed on the organ.
Fortunately,  Angela and Gerry were able to keep a close eye on it.

 We should all be very proud of the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who attended the Church Service for Remembrance Sunday. It was a wonderful turnout

St James Milton Abbas - 2015 - Shoebox Appeal

There is just time to collect a few more items for our shoebox appeal. Here are a few suggestions...

 All items need to be delivered to St James, Milton Abbas on Monday 31st October, after 10am.
The boxes will be filled on Tuesday morning. Thank you so much for your support. Let's see if we can fill even more boxes than last year!

Harvest Thanks from Winterborne Houghton

A very BIG thank you to all who decorated our Church in Houghton for our Harvest Service last Sunday, and also for all the non perishable gifts that were donated for the Blandford Food Bank, which I delivered last Tuesday.

Link to Hope Family and Elderly Shoebox Appeal

 St James Church in Milton Abbas has successfully co ordinated the creation of many shoeboxes for this appeal in the past few years. Link to Hope is a Christian Charity established since 1991 and dedicated to rebuilding lives and communities in Eastern Europe. Now all our churches are involved and we will be collecting items that can be added to a shoebox that can be given to a family or elderly. There are suggestions for the type of items required in the leaflet below. If you can donate either items for the boxes or £2 towards transport and distribution please talk to your churchwardens or contact Paula Kelsall (880258)
